TAMPA,
FL -- MARCH 17, 2005 -- Sunrise
Cinemas at Old Hyde Park Village, located
at 1609 W. Swann Avenue in Tampa, debuts
its "Cafe Cinematheque International"
film series next month. Beginning Wednesday,

foreign language films once each month.
"Cafe Cinematheque International
has been very successful in our theaters
in South Florida," says Mitchel Dreier,
CEO of Sunrise Cinemas. "We believe
the Tampa Bay audience is ready and eager
for this type of programming. Reaction
to the announcement of the program in
front of audiences at the theater has
been remarkably strong and we look forward
to a successful series in Tampa."
The monthly event begins with complimentary
refreshments in the cinema lobby and is
followed by the screening of a fine classic
foreign film with English subtitles. A
discussion about the film with expert
George Meyer, film reviewer for the Sarasota
Herald-Tribune, concludes the evening.
Tickets to Cafe Cinematheque International
are $10 per person, and may be purchased
at the box office in advance or the day
of the event. The first two scheduled
films are NINE QUEENS in April and BEAR

In this critically acclaimed, stylish
and engaging thriller, two con artists
try to swindle a stamp collector by selling
him a sheet of counterfeit and presumably
valuable rare stamps, The Nine Queens.
As tricky negotiations ensue over the
stamps, a sparkling cast of suspicious
characters and a slew of thieves, conmen
and pickpockets is introduced. The deceptions
mount and it becomes more and more difficult
to figure out who is conning whom. 114
minutes.
