Lupton’s Boggy Bottom Ranch
A Southern Style Company Picnic
- M. Wilson

A local mortgage services company, just hosted their 2nd Annual Summer Picnic at Lupton’s Boggy Bottom Ranch last Saturday. After last year’s success they chose to return to the ranch again this year. The HR Assistant reported, “We love that it is private. It is a safe place for our employees and families to come out and enjoy the day together. We have a lot planned and we hope that everyone has some fun!”

Managers and employees chatted and watched the children play on a huge variety of activities. In addition to all of the permanent features, this company selected a number of additional attractions to make it very special: rock climbing, the quad jumper, numerous inflatables such as the moon walk, pony rides, hayrides, spin art, sand art, face painting, clowns, and a video arcade. The disc jockey entertained at the main pavilion and hosted a Bingo game. However, at 2:00 event organizers took over the microphone and featured the company’s top three winners of their "Idols" (karaoke) contest. Ashley opened with some country tunes and got the crowd clapping, Mia kept things movin’, and last but not least, Anthony and Vernon slowed it down with soulful R&B sounds from Luther Vandross.
