"Mr. and Mrs. Smith"
20th Century Fox • Directed By Doug Liman • Rated PG-13

-contributing writer Nick Boddy

Well, here we go again. The season of blockbuster movies using big stars to break records has started. And who bigger than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in this summers hit "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"?

We've all seen or heard the buzz about this film. Two undercover assassins working for opposing agencies, married to one another, live double lives until they it comes to doing the unthinkable: "how, when or where do I kill my spouse?".

Although the trailers and clips have already spoiled the predictable plot, the film's story never overshadowed the performances of Pitt (John Smith) and Jolie (Jane Smith), who share an on-screen chemistry so natural it makes one wonder... Rarely seen is a scene without the two, and truthfully, the way the film is presented, it would be strange any other way.

Vince Vaughn plays a good sidekick to Pitt, but his lack of time on-screen is a shame. He fit well into the film's playful comedy. In fact, it is the sense of humor that sustains "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", right up until the film ends and you ask yourself "hey, weren't they supposed to be bad people?"

If your looking for action, attractive people and a few laughs, then "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is a must-see.
